Hello everyone
this is just an update on what is going on in our family. :)
Jason left for commercial driving school this morning. He starts school on Wednesday and will be there for three weeks, he will come home for one, maybe two days and then will go out on mentor training for six weeks. Depending on the mentor he could be back every weekend or he could be out the entire time. It will be hard but we are very proud of him and he seems very excited about doing this. After he completes all that he starts driving, for SWIFT. There is a member of our church who also drives for SWIFT and asked Jason if he wanted to team drive. This is where they have two drivers per one truck and they take turns driving the load. Which means they can drive longer and drop more loads faster then a solo driver. They get paid more but it is hard to find a partner you can get a long with, so their aren't a whole lot of them. I liked this idea because he won't be alone and get tired, or get robbed by some random person or anything like that...and get this everyone. The guy Jason is going to team with talks more then Jason......no you read that right.....talks MORE then Jason. haha. They are fast becoming good friends and are both excited. It is also good because this guy is big on bike riding and stuff while he is stopped and was wanting to find a team partner he could go to church and the temple with.....I am so excited that we found them. Plus their family is just a hoot. I love his wife and we get along very well! Anyway, once he starts driving with Chris (his real name is Jason but there are so many Jason's in his family and at work he goes by Chris...funny huh?), they will be out for three weeks and then home for one. So I figured it out. We will see Jason around three months a year. It will be hard but I think worth it. So I will keep you updated on that.
I do have to mention that I think our family is unique and handles things in a completely different way then everyone else. An incident happened this weekend in our family....if you didn't know or if she didn't want anyone to know...oops. sorry. :) Rebekah got in a little accident. Ok. I am way understating "Little". She was lucky she walked away, let alone walked away with out braking anything or internal bleeding. After the initial shock of it, and after we found out she was ok and was going to completely heal, we did what we do best. Started joking. Some would call us insensitive, some would just call us down right rude and uncaring. But that is how we cope and it makes life much more bearable at times. We all cried and where worried out of our minds but when we knew everything was going to be ok, we laugh about it. Like for instance - we (our family) play this card game called Killer Bunnies (we got hooked after Deborah and Tyler got us into it). Well Beck was bring home the game (that's what she was doing, driving home) and the bunny game went everywhere.....well the first thing she tells Deborah is " I couldn't save the bunnies" ok....how is that not funny? Then Me, Jason and Reana went and got her a cake that said "you really are superman" on it and we sang Happy Survivor Day (to the tune of Happy Birthday) and celebrated.
Don't get me wrong, our family is very close and we were devastated to find that one of ours was hurt and could have potentially been killed, but she wasn't and we are eternally grateful.
so Beck this blog is dedicated to you. Happy Survivor Day to you and don't ever say I didn't give ya nothing...you've gotten a cake and a blog! Love ya and we are very glad you are still here....even if you didn't save the bunnies. :)

Hey, I think your tribute is more to her style anyway. She was so funny. After she was nice and drugged up, she was sleeping in the back seat. At this point we had been parked for a while at the gas station. Tyler and I were talking about fishing and how you have to have a license to have two poles in the water. Tyler said if you don't you're in big trouble. From the back seat comes, "No. I took my math test first, then we had time to talk."
We laughed so hard. She woke up after than and said, "How long have we been driving?"
I said, "We're parked. We've been parked for a while now."
"Oh."
And then she was gone again. It was funny.
I think it is great about Jason, Kevin did just that and he loves his truck and he is doing so well that Elizabeth has been able to quit work and stay home with Amaris and Annaleise. He started with Swift but went with another trucking company, he gets home about every six weeks for a week. I know Jason will love his job and it is great he will be team driving. Give him thumbs us from us and tell him we are very proud of him and know he will do great. ps give Becca our hugs and I told her next time she flys her car to be sure to get a license and to pratice on her landings. love you all
HAHAHA thanks maura I appreciate it. the cake was pretty much the highlight of my weekend. AND I got a blog how lucky could I get? it seems Jason has found his swift soul mate as it were. thats pretty awesome!
